The Sentinel Digital Intelligent Lighting Controller-2’s 24-hour digital timer controls two devices, and has a battery backup to remember settings in case of power failure. Controlled devices can be staggered up to 20 minutes apart to allow a single light or bank of lights to reach full intensity before the next is ignited. This unit also features temperature failsafe, shutting down lights if its four-meter remote temperature probe senses that the user-determined threshold has been exceeded. To further protect expensive lighting systems, a user-adjustable “hot start" delay allows ballasts and expensive lamps to cool off for up to one hour if power is interrupted during a lighting cycle.
